WetterCube Next are small satellite displays for the Fusion: an ESP32 CYD ("Cheap Yellow Display", 2.8", 320×240, ESP32-2432S028) shows data from the Fusion, for example temperature and bio-weather in the office, allergens and forecast in the bedroom. Next belongs to the Fusion project but needs a running Fusion in the same network. Status: in development (version 0.1.0-alpha3). Guide, web installer and firmware: WetterCube-Next on GitHub (wiki).
- The Fusion announces itself as the mDNS service
_wettercube._tcp(entryapi=/api/next,v=1) and delivers the data as JSON under/api/next. - Next finds the Fusion by itself (or you enter its address) and asks every 30 seconds. If nothing changed, the Fusion answers
304. - No MQTT broker is needed.
